Gurukul is a type of Education which was started in the Ancient India , aka Aryavrat (Aryavrat is previously known India,which is more bigger in landmass  and more prosperous ).

 

In Gurukul , there is rule where Guru and Shishya stays together far from the home  of their own parents for knowledge and to be ready to live independently and strongly in the society .


But the Education is the process that continues from Birth till Death.

 

Ancient Indian Scriptures considered the knowledge as "Third Eye" .

 

As corrects insight developed by education , increases the intelligence .

This all starts from a ceremony which is Upanayan Sanskar . if you have watched the Ramayana or Mahabharata you might Known that .

There are many renowned Scholars women like kaushlya , Gargi , Atreyi and Draupadi etc. 

 

In Gurukul students learn about Dharma , Adharm in Simple word , we can say living a life in a good way or a bad way .

Students were made understood about the religion and what is right  , what is wrong in life . ie mainly the responsibilities a man or a women has to apply in the terms of the life .

 

In the name of higher Education , students learn about Grammar , History , Mythology , Mathematics , war Science and fine arts or many more . 

 

A man has to perform certain duties in four stages .

💫Grihasthashram (married life)

💫 Vanaprasthashram (retired)

💫Sanyashram (renunciation)

 

During learning period a student was prescribed for character Building , Personality Development , Civic sense , efficiency and for becoming a man with all of this qualities different rituals , puja , thoughts , lifestyle , control over mind & etiquette are prescribed .

A student follow the subject in which he was interested or he has skills for it . 

 Like Arjuna was said to follow Archery , Bheem follows the learning with a mace , Everyone have their own skills sets and Guru Acts as a torch bearer for students to find in what thing students have skill or interest .

 

Gurukul system is not only implemented in India it is also found that Gurukul system is partially spread on Europe , and many more places around world.
